An empty home gives the team better access to floors, cupboards, and edges. Arrange the visit after movers have finished and before the final inspection or your new furniture arrives. Keep water and electricity available.

Different properties have different handover requirements. Send the actual checklist, along with any concerns about appliances, cabinets, or windows. This makes it easier to agree on what will be cleaned instead of discovering a mismatch at the handover.
